Refund policy
Returns
Items can be returned within 30 days of delivery for a full refund — opened kits included, as long as all parts come back. Buyer pays return shipping. Digital products (PDF guides) are non-refundable.
One-year warranty — and a real human
Every device we sell is covered for one year against defects in materials and workmanship. If something arrives broken or stops working, email daniel@valarsystems.com and you'll be talking with the person who designed it. Depending on the problem, we'll do one of three things:
- Walk you through the fix — usually the fastest path, and you'll know your device better afterward.
- Ship you a replacement board or part, free.
- Have you send the unit back for a full refund.
Modifications don't void your warranty
We're an open-source company: flash custom firmware, print your own parts, modify away. A modification only affects coverage if it actually caused the failure — everything else stays covered.
Not covered
Normal wear on consumables (rope, PTFE tube, and printed parts subject to wear) and damage from mis-assembly or misuse of DIY kits — though replacement parts for everything are inexpensive and always available on our Parts page, and we'll help you troubleshoot regardless.
This policy does not limit any statutory rights you have in your country.
